The Blitz has really surprised me… Suspension: The HPI Blitz uses four threaded shock bodies to make suspension adjustments easier and more accurate. White shock springs and 40wt shock fluid are used on four corners. The thick front and rear shock towers and suspension arms have many shock mounting holes to fine tune the suspension. The front shocks are mounted behind the front shock tower. Another nice feature is the captured hinge pins. They make the suspension smoother and reduce maintenance time. Xray reports – “The fourth and last round of the Swiss Championship 1/10 I.C. 200mm took place on the weekend of October 4/5. The race was in Ticino on the Track where the 2010 Euro B will take place. Sunny weather was forecast for the whole weekend. Saturday was free practice, and Monika and I arrived at the MRTM track in Lostallo at about 10.30. To become Swiss champion 2009, I could not finish lower than 2nd place should Beat Wälti win the race. I knew it was going to be close, and was determined not to make it too easy for Beat. So off it was onto the rostrum to practice the track layout. This specific layout went through a part of the track that was not used a lot so we had to find grip there. On the rest of the track there was a lot of rubber from the 1/5th scale formula cars which had had an EFRA GP shortly before. On to the racing, Round 1 was a close battle between the super fast Jesse Newman and Knauth, with both drivers lapping the field, Knauth taking the win ahead of Newman with Tam Bui – 808 – RB home in third place. Round 2, saw Gavin Newman with the win ahead of Ciccone – MBX6 – Nova Rossi with Jesse third, Kyle Hodges – X2CR – RB, Knauth – Hyper 9 – RB, Jackson – MBX6 – Nova Rossi, Bui, Dean Baker – Caster Fusion, Shaun Rawlings – XB8 EC – Force and Daniel White – 808 – Caster rounding out the Top Ten. Flavio Elias took TQ spot and won the Category 1/8 with his 966, follow by his team mate Renato Paiva in 3rd place. Victory for Flávio Elias with Serpent 966. Flavio (Serpent 966/Collari) had prepared himself very well for this race, knowing that it would be a very difficult, because the track had been renewed with lots of traction and would demand a great deal of the chassis and of transmission, But the 966 showed its extraordinary performance and it left nothing to be desired. Saturday AMB IT tested several new Personal Transponders on the Mach Heemstede Indoor Track (where the EK Stock 2009 was held). A select few were able to test the new personal transponder which is still currently a prototype.
