It's been like a week or so since i last posted something here, so i guess its time to update a bit la. Sigh, has been running out of ideas on what to post these days. -.-

Well, today was our M'sian hottest radio station Hitz.FM 9th annivesary birthday bash, so they all decided to bash their way into wherelse but right here in M-L-C!!!! Hahahah yeahhhh... along they brought whole lot of renowned local artist acts like Reshmonu, Popshuvit, J-Lo, K-town Clan (damn missed their performance), and etc..... Hell, it was a 9 hour of pure partying there!! From 3pm till midnight!! ;D

But, us; me, ojs, wjin, yc, yqin, e-chaur, and sk; only reached there at around 9 liddat, so damn we missed out on most part of it... and not to mention the free giftss!!!!! =( But, it's still one hell of a party!!

After warming-up at Mahkota Parade with the Hitz artists, it's just gettin started! Heck, we headed straight down to PureBar to clubzzzz and thought of meeting Monu there to take some pics with him.... but damn la he was surrounded by his own peeps.. BTW, Pure was DAMMNNN packed ( every saturday sure pack la... but today's crowd was a record high i guess)... so we headed to Jack' D to lepak a while and have some beer.

But once we entered there, i finally understood why Pure can be so packed while its more "humble" counterpart, just opposite the road, Jack'D's is kinda not-so-happening. Guess what, they played songs like Uptown Girl, some Pakistan bhangra shit, and also..... CNY songs!!!! WTF???!!!! XD

Hahaha we returned to Pure shortly to shake shake abit =D and do some aerobics hehehe.. and off back home.... Ooops its 530am n i guess i need so sleepzz!!! that's all for now...Ciaozz

Pimp My Ride!!

Heh i've been kinda lazy to update the blog this past week cos was busy with some other stuffs. Heck, i had totally forgotten to update this blog. =)) Well, guess the ideas haven't been coming in thick and fast as expected.

Ok la enough of those, now i would like to intro you guys to my not-so-recently bought second hand ride, my Proton Iswara (what you all expect wo... poor people ma.. can't afford those nice cars hahaha )! Well didnt have photos of it when it came to me at first, but once i got my hands onto it, i did do some major improvements on it. Hehe mainly added a CD/MP3 player into it. Hoho (cos the old radio was like damn crappy and sounds worse than those apek radio =P)

Here's how my ride looks ..... for now... hehe cos don't know what i'm gona do to it next...

Man, i already burnt 2k on it !! Hello, i'm still studying you know... so which means now i'm dire straits financially =(( Haih the audio system costed me 800 buxx... while those wheels another 1.1k.... looks like i'm gonna have to eat taugeh and vege on my daily chap-fan (chinese economy rice) =(

Haha forget those money matters.... out they go! Now into some info on my car pimping operation.. hehe as most know.. in the U.S, MTV's very own show, Pimp My Ride sponsors lucky winners every now and then to have their old-junkyard-worn out-crappy ride "pimped"! BTW, the host X-Zibit is damn cool sial...

Hehe how i wish he would have appeared in front of my doorsteps and grant me my ultimate wish =D ...

On a wonderful Saturday morning, me, danny, and weejin set off to Malim in Malacca for a tyre shop nearby to give my set of tyres some pimping.... And after a couple of shops, we finally found our perfect shop that offered me a good deal!

Haha there were a whole lot more on offer but just managed to take this part of the shop. Back in KL, there were more choices especialy in Sunway but couldn't find the design that suited my car then.

After scouted around there for a while, i managed to find the one which fitted nicely into my car. And chose a set of FALKEN low profile racing tyres to go along with it. Then whatelse, straight into pimping mode. Those old wheels were popped out in no time and in went those new ones =)

Hahahahaha... man it feels different after that when i drove home... (or is it just myself being over-sensitive =P)

The final result =P... hooray!

Though it burnt my freakin wallet, but as what evelyn said here IT'S WORTH IT!!! muahahahahha.... okla that's all for now... till god knows when, we'll be back then.

when d6 meets Aces

Hahahaha FYI my previous post was taken from my mailbox again..but of course i added some pics into it =P (man, my mailbox is full of crap..)

Ok, now into some proper blog posts;

For the past weekend we have had some good ol' friends from cyberjaya dropping by into malacca to holler to us and hangout. Well, we did hangout.. hell, we hanged-out like mad! Had a couple of sleepless nights... thanks to those night-ghosts who didn't know what's sleeping... sigh poor me..

To kick things off, we headed to Malim for some awesome steam-boat buffet style!! Heck, to make things merrier, my stomach was on-form that night.. cos hadn't ate nuts since my brunch at 12.

Just as everyone thought we all were gonna have a safe journey there, the unexpected happenend. Here's how it goes, we were convoying in 3 cars to our destination and it seemed pretty much harmless. But then, all of a sudden the car in front of me emergency-braked which caused me to do the same and almost rammed into his ass!

Haha guess i'm one lucky boy as my car didn't hit anyone but sadly though the 3rd car (it was a kancil) rammed into the sec car ( saga). Here's the damage assesment:

Which Chinese are You?

As we all know, the Chinese is one of the 3 major ethnicities in the multiracial society of Malaysia. However, the Chinese can be divided into various subgroups, based not on their religion and faiths, but rather on the differences in their language, appearance, conduct, and also certain beliefs. Let's analyse:

The Typical:

This subgroup contributes the largest proportion of the entire Chinese community in Malaysia. Therefore, this group can be considered as the mainstream Chinese, since most other races, and even foreigners perceive the Chinese in this stereotype.

Typical China-man..... check out the eyebrows, kao thick!!

Characteristics:

1. Mostly speaks Mandarin as the first language, but depending on their location. Those from the Northern Peninsular would be use Hokkien, those in Ipoh to Klang Valley would speak Cantonese; while Southern ones would speak Mandarin. Those in East Malaysia would more frequently speak Hakka.

2. Insists education in vernacular schools, i.e. SRJK (C), and feels that learning Mandarin is a necessity. Puts great emphasis in child's education, and encourages the abundance of homework. The more homework, the merrier. Besides homework, children are not encouraged to do anything else.

3. Religion wise, there are abundant Buddhists, Taoists, Christians, Catholics, and even lots of free-thinkers. But generally worships many gods and deities. Some don't even know what are they worshipping, but offers faith in hope of peace and happiness (and sometimes 4D numbers).

4. Shrewd, calculative and thrifty (sometimes to the extent of stingy), hence making them better businessmen. This is believed to be originated from the traditional Chinese view of MONEY is PRIORITY¡ every cent counts. Expected to bargain to the lowest possible price, and swarms shopping malls during sale seasons. Think about BUY BUY BUY and BUY all the time.

5. Avid listener to Mandarin / Cantonese pop music, especially those from Hong Kong and Taiwan. And calls a music video an MTV instead of music video. Their knowledge of English songs is usually limited to mainstream pop songs which are aired on their Mandarin or Cantonese TV channels.

6. Has Astro hardwired to Wah Lai Toi. Again, this depends on the location¡ for those living at the Southern Peninsular, Singapore¡¯s Channel 8 is a must. Daily.

7. Most of them despise those who are illiterate and ignorant in Mandarin and Chinese culture, especially the bananas (explained below). Yet they secretly admire the banana's fluency in speaking English.

The Banana (Partial Angmoh)

The banana has a yellow skin, but deep down inside it's white. This describes Chinese who are more Westernised than the typical Chinese, but fail to master their mother language. Nevertheless, it is a bit misleading as some from this subgroup may actually understand a certain extent of Mandarin.

Characteristics:

1. Speaks English as the first language. English at home, English at school, English with friends, English with virtually anyone else. As mentioned above, they are the bananas; but there are some who knows Mandarin but refuse, or even despise using Mandarin in their conversation. Most of them even speak English in a particular accent which is more Caucasian-like than the typical Chinese tone.

2. Educated either in a Sekolah Kebangsaan, a private school, or international school. Normally feels that Mandarin is not important, as long as they and their children can speak English well.

3. More likely to be Christians or Catholics, but quite a large number of free-thinkers too. Some just go to church for fun (and to see pretty girls) instead of performing religious services.

4. Generally more tech-savvy than the other subgroups, most probably due to much higher exposure to the Western world. More likely to use (read: abuse and overuse) the internet for various purposes.

5. Most of them are of middle or upper-class social status, and are generally richer than the other subgroups, with the exception of typical Chinese taukes who wears numerous rings embedded with large precious stones and only rides in Mercedes Benzes. Rich people from this group are usually less extravagant and maintain a lower profile, but not necessarily.

6. TV and music preferences are more inclined towards the Western world. Enjoys English songs more than the other subgroups, and most probably watches "Sex and The City", "Friends", "Simpsons", "Lost", or "CSI.". Have little interest and knowledge about the entertainment world from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China.

7. Higher probability of choosing spaghetti over wantan mee¡ or pizza over popiah.

8. Thinks that they are more superior to the other subgroups, and even the rest of the world; with the exception of Westerners, of course. For example, some women secretly dream of dating Caucasian hunks and despise their Chinese suitors.

9. There exists a subgroup within this group who wish that they could wake up one day and find that they have miraculously transformed into an angmoh; and the world would be happily ever after.

The Ah Beng (male) & Ah Lian (female)

This subgroup consists of several characteristics which are truly unique. It is the result of failed attempts to imitate pop stars hailing from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and to some extent, Japan. Their extravagant and flamboyant presence never fails to make them targets of humour from the other subgroups; but honestly, they are a colorful addition to our society.

Characteristics:

Ah Beng Evolution!! Muz follow the trend wan... kenot becum "OUT" wan.. (in typical Beng-lish) :P

1. Mostly speaks Mandarin and other dialects, and broken English to an extent. Speaks in a volume which is 10 decibels higher than the others, and sounds as if they are picking a fight. Has limited vocabulary for each language (don't expect them to write good poetry or articles); yet their word bank for explicit vulgarities is legendary. Abuse phrases such as "kanninah", even from other languages like PUKIMAK!! (oops some explicit contents LOL)

2. Striking appearance like no other, which include:
- Hair is not in original color, mostly gold or bronze. Hair style is often spiky and spunky, but depends on the latest trend.

- Ah Lians have 3 or more holes on each of their ears, and all of them are pierced with large dangling earrings or chains. Ah Bengs however have at least one earring on their left ear. Numerous rings on the fingers, bangles or wristbands around the wrist, and thick shiny bling bling chains around the neck or both Ah Beng and Ah Lian.

- Ah Beng's wardrobe : Tight fitting shirts, preferably with gigantic pictures of dragons or tribal designs. Tight jeans with baggy bell bottoms. Flip-flop slippers which are of eye-striking color.
- Ah Lian's wardrobe : Usually skimpy tank tops, spaghetti straps, with large cheeky prints like "I'M HOT / CUTE". Hot pants or tight mini skirts which often reveal "something" :P. Weird looking sandals (last time used to be platforms but they are out of fashion), tall boots, or Japanese style high socks with shoes. Basically anything they think that looks kawaii.
- Ah Beng usually keeps a long fingernail at the last finger. Ah Lian colors her fingernails. Each one of them in different colors.

3. Gives an impression of a VCD peddler, an ecstasy seller or even a gangster / loan shark; even though they might just be a law-abiding good citizen.

4. Normally no religious beliefs; they believe in themselves. Or whoever that starts a fashion trend.

The most "IN" punya ah beng ah... don pray pray... got bling bling wan ah.. (looks like Chan Hoe Nam only wuakakakkaaka )

5. Self-acclaimed tech-savvy. Usually carries the latest tech gadget especially handphones, but seldom knows all the functions, let alone use them.

6. Loves techno and dance music. As loud as possible. Once a fan of one of the following groups: Vengaboys, Dr Bombay, Aqua, Toybox, or the Cheeky Girls. Now probably in love with Crazy Frog or Numa Numa.

7. The typical Ah Beng loves cars. They think nothing about modifying their modest Proton Wiras into fierce monsters, which have ill-fitting bodykits, oversized GT wings or spoilers, large and loud exhausts, and have enough amplifiers in their car to power speakers for a concert. Ah Bengs drive like they own the road; with their windows down, blasting loud techno music, with Ah Lian in the passenger seat.

So there you go, which Chinese are you?

Bei Zhan & Sweetheart

Bei Zhan & Sweetheart... yeap that's what we did for the day. For the entire day, guess what.. we all had no classes!! hahahahah so, as usual mahjong sprung into our minds as soon as we opened our eyes =D. Heck, it took us 3 days to complete one full circle of winds ( north, south, east, and west ). OMG usually people finish it overnight. Hahaha just shows how slow we were in our games.

And then, we kicked off our main programme for the day by paying a visit to "Bei Zhan Restaurant" ( one of MLC's finest restaurants ) to satisfy our groaning stomach. Haha as we checked out the menu... we came across this :

Wuahh... pay attention to the prices! And that's gona be our orders! ( yeah man, dream on )

Instead, we settled for something way cheaper than that =( . Sigh what to do, students what, on limited budget.

Looks very ordinary right?? what to do... poor people ma =P

Haha our food might look ordinary but they tasted damn good. Worthed the extra penny for them. And here's what got us hooked up

Taufu with minced dried prawns and some sort of secret recipe that made us coming back for more =D

After that, we went to check out the romantic-comedy "My Kung-Fu Sweetheart" in GSC.

Starring : Leo Ku, Cecilia Cheung, and co.

Some sneak-peek into the movie for u guys...

This movie doesn't need much intro as the director is of course, the one and only king of comedy-movie-directors, Wong Jing!! Muahahahah... all the shows under his directive are wickedly hilarious comedies!

For those who can't get enough of laughter from this show, do check out "Shopaholics" in a cinema near you! It's a much funnier show indeed!! Highly recommended to those who share the same passion for comedies as me =P

We're back!!

Guess who's back.... back again.... d6's back... yeah, finally we're back after a long n well-deserved break and celebrated Chinese New Year along the way. Hmmm so where do we start... heck, lets start from the fact that we've been receiving some feedbacks lately regarding this blog being not being regularly updated...

haha well actually we only started blogging a couple of days before our final exams for the previous sem. So, we didn't really have much time to post up many more posts. Now that our studies has resumed so we hope we can do our best in putting up more posts and reach our full potential ( as said by fellow veteran blogger Evelyn ) in the near future =D. (BTW to evelyn, there's only one main brain behind this blog and that's me :P)

Oklah now into our main topic here, well right after we came back from our holidays ( me just back from KL not long ago) we headed straight to the infamous Jonker Walk in Malacca to get ourselves a proper mahjong set to lighten up the festive mood in D6 =)) Hahahaha yeah, it's all about da money!! We'll surely be plagued by gambling for the next week or two. Hehe here's a sneak-peak to the eagerly awaited set

The next day, we headed straight away to the nearest furniture shop to buy a suitable table to fit in "4 kaki's" for the set cos the tables in our house all are way too small to make ourselves comfy while playing.

Well, after we got our hands onto the brand-new mahjong table, d6 headed straight into action!! =D

Hahahhaa....the table fits just nicely!!

ooops.. guess our d6 blog has died down for quite some time without any posts. Nahhh most of our gang all were busy with their exams n all that shit. Heck, those majoring in Robotics just finished exams! woohooo.... but wait.. the feeling of just finished exams was good.. but so is the sight i saw right when i approached my ride... guess what.. this is what i got for all the troubles i took to wake up early n head down to campus for my final paper...

bastards MBMB fellas.. damn smart when it comes to "cari makan" and issuing nonsensical summons.

aih... well i'm not the only person suffering from a false dawn... next victim was mr.low wee jin as his pimped-ride somehow his tyres "kena lepas angin" =)) (sure got ppl "beh siok" u d la... tats y don simpli go smoke ppl on the road :P)

haha after me joined in the FUN in helping him sort out his car... next thing on my mind was ... watelse... DOTA!! Yess, upon reaching back my house.. i can sense that blueserver is calling me in action, alongside the d6 clan! muahahahhaha....

3.45am...in the midst of my formulae-refreshing process... all of a sudden.. sumthin struck my mind n ter-bangun (partly thx to the overdosage of caffein frm the mocha i stuffed myself wif couple of hrs ago :P).. hahaha.. yes.. Sunday morning, 6.30am. Raining. The best time to study, when all the other d6 members are still deep within their slumber >:) Muahaha. Went through the powerpoint slides for semiconductors again, final exams in a few days more, unluckily for other d6ers, their exam starts tomorrow(all the best dudes). So with a blur blur brain reading, with approximately 25% efficiency of my brain...I just discovered something you won't even notice when you are wide awake.

And...

CBs & excited CB?????? @_@ ( Don't blame me, I was still half asleep, I don't usually think dirty, believe me, its true. )

Darn, 15 minutes over already? Gosh, its back to the notes again >.<

Sigh. One rule for studying for the exam. Don't study notes which are not yours. In my case, I was looking through Cyberyaya notes...woops i mean Cyberjaya lec's notes. And...

Spent more time trying to analyse the short forms more than understanding the concepts. MBE(sounds like N@b3i) and OMVPE(sounds more like OMG WTF to me >:) ). These are just some of it, there are more than 10 pages filled with unknown abbreviations...GAWD. What was this guy thinking, using so many of these abbs as if there is gonna be no tomorrow. Just imagine a kid looking at this, it will show that kid, "the path" back to pre-school. After extra 10 minutes looking at ABCs, finally I said F it, and back to the notes of our good ol' Malacca lecturer.

Got sick blogging this morning, so I am blogging now to reverse the effect :). Another studying rule, do not do tutorials with the solutions right beside you, coz you will end up "photocopying" instead of doing it ^_^. Thats what I did a lil' while ago. In the exam you kenot do that can't you. But if you were sitting beside some 4-flatters, photocopying answers aint such a bad idea after all >:).

J-Me's Guide to KOF for dummies ^_^

KOF was a popular arcade game since 94, or was it 95(that doesn't matter so just F it). For people who are uber kiam siap like us, 50 cents per game at the local arcade really cost too much, especially when we don't know how to use the arcade stick at all. So playing it on pc is the next option. Unfortunately we aren't getting KOF Neowave or KOF XI anytime soon, the latest we can play is KOF2003. However, we like classics which are not so classic, so KOF2002 remains the main choice. Some simple rules, newbies should take note when playing KOF:-

1. If you are playing in the arcade, jus insert a coin in the coin slot and press start. And if you were just wondering, NO WE DO NOT INSERT COINS INTO THE FLOPPY DRIVE AND PRESS START for PC.

2. Characters to choose. Simple. Don't go for cool looking leng chai s and leng lui s characters coz the better they look, the harder they are to use. For example, do not choose those two clowns below:- (take a good look)

These 2 guys are the fake leng chai wanna be's that will waste your money in the arcade. Instead, go for those called real leng chais...such as those below:-

3. Law of assumption. By assuming you get to Rugal, no matter how many credits your use or how much money you use, be proud of it. Show Rugal who is the boss and press start button in front of him. The outcome will be something like this :- :D
