BuzzNet Gets Heavy With The Gauntlet

Social media is getting a bit heavier. Music community BuzzNet has announced it’s teaming up with The Gauntlet, a hard rock and heavy metal news and review site.

BuzzNet will begin collaborating on new material and featuring Gauntlet content right away. Its management says the hope is to expose visitors to “a community and a whole new breed of bands they may not have found on their own.”

The site already carries some serious weight, getting a decent amount of original content and big name interviews — such as this one, in which Velvet Revolver (and former Guns ‘n Roses) drummer Matt Sorum talks about the possibility of reuniting with a certain Mr. Rose:

BuzzNet acquired music blog Idolator from Gawker Media back in April.
