Harvey Dent with Coin

/Film reader Dave found a new IMAX featurette over on Comcast.net. It includes a bunch of never before seen footage, including: a Pre-Two-Face Harvey Dent flipping his coin, Batman talking to the Joker in the integration room, a cool little moment where Bruce Wayne enters all bruised and Alfred says “Know your limits Master Wayne” and Bruce responds “Batman has no Limits”, and more. Watch the new IMAX featurette in High Definition by clicking on Joker below.

They also have an exclusive making of which focuses on the creation of the Joker’s Goon’s Masks. It’s actually a lot cooler than it sounds. Enjoy!

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!

    the window explosion!

    jokers face!

    FUCK YES.

  2. Gravatar

PETER- its taking forever. Can’t you add them like you normally add videos…..please.

  3. Gravatar

Those videos are downloading slower than a tar I.V.

  4. Gravatar

I had to go to comcast to watch them but HELL YES!!! This movie isn’t coming out fast enough for me! The vids were AWESOME. Loved the behind the scene stuff with the masks. Can’t wait!

  5. Gravatar

Every scrap of Dark Knight news is both incredibly awesome and incredibly torturous. I still can’t figure out what that flash of blueness with the Joker is at the end, it was in some other trailer too…

  6. Gravatar

    @ Danatic

Yes, blue balls come to mind. I’m sure there are a lot of people out there that can’t wait to get off ;) This movie has orgasmic potential to be sure.

  7. Gravatar

-i just don’t think they realize that they have made the greatest comic book film EVER. this will be a film i want to see again, the minute its over. in fact, alot of nolan’s films are like that.

-it’s a shame heath isn’t here to share it with us, because man o man…what they hell is that blue video of him at the end?!?! crepppy fucking shit!

-”batman has no limits” fucking badass.

-that tropic thunder viral skit was right: christian bale would kick rdj/IM ass - ANY DAY!

  8. Gravatar

sorry to clog up the board, but i had to add that anything spiderman: comics, films, toys, games, shirts, etc are my gospel/bible/torah & koran! that said, it was hard for me to admit that tdk & this batman universe nolan has created are completely untouchable. just a first class group of people making first class films.

SM2 is my all time fav, and i bittersweetly (?) await replacing it with TDK.

  9. Gravatar

I’m sure Dk will be inferior to Iron Man, strictly from a comic book movie vs comic book movie standpoint. No DC universe character tie-ins, takes place in an overly gawdy, pseudo earth.

The Batman films just seem so darn self-contained and claustrophobic after what Marvel has done. The Bat franchise is already becoming like a ‘bad guy of the week’ type deal with this new film. As opposed to marvel, which with one film created anticipation for Capt America, The avengers, War Machine, Shield, etc, etc etc.

  10. Gravatar

This is going to be the greatest movie ever. Period.

  11. Gravatar

Don’t forget Hulk, which allegedly has a scene with Stark in it. A film which again, takes place in our world.

Contrast that with a Nolan’s Batman, a movie where, say, Singer’s Superman clearly would never fit in. I see the general public being excited by DK, with the exception of the hardcore BM comic fans, don’t think too many who collect are too overly hyped.

Like I said, the whole batman universe on film just seems like a tiny, one trick pony now.

  12. Gravatar

    Jerry to the Biggy Butler,

What the fuck are you talking about? I’m assuming you’ve seen TDK already?

  13. Gravatar

Oh boy, and in run the fanboys to protect the honor of films they have absolutely no hand in making. Joy.

  14. Gravatar

The reason they don’t want to make a Bat3? because they foresee the inevitable lameness they would be forced to sell to the public.

Batman, alone, isolated in his lonely little snow globe of a universe, taking on monsters of the week Penguin and Mr Freeze! Where can I buy my ticket in advance????

  15. Gravatar

    Again,

What the fuck are you talking about?

  16. Gravatar

Where did you get the news they “don’t” want to make a third film?

  17. Gravatar

IMO, Marvel upped the game so much, DC…..even with this brand new movie……..has been left in the dust. That’s what I am talking about.

  18. Gravatar

I see. You haven’t seen the film yet and have already deemed it “left in the dust”.

That’s all I wanted you to say the first time.

  19. Gravatar

um, read the first sentence of my first reply here.

  20. Gravatar

wow, jerry. you’re just ‘baiting’ people aren’t you. to the point where you’re just repeating yourself just to prove your point. okay…

  21. Gravatar

besides, others here who haven’t seen it yet are already praising it as ‘the greatest movie ever. Period.’

don’t see you taking issue there. only when it’s contrast to your beliefs does it become an issue, eh? lol

  22. Gravatar

    ha, as I thought,

Now you’re just being redundant. Along with dodging my “third film” question. I almost admire the repeat Jerry.

  23. Gravatar

so you proven your point, but….in a douchebaggery manner. but that’s cool. i don’t really care.

  24. Gravatar

have I mentioned that DK will be inferior to Iron Man?

  25. Gravatar

Come on dude, you’re shaking that fishing reel way too hard now.

  26. Gravatar

because Marvel has successfully made it plausible that we live in a world inhabited by their super heroes, whereas Nolan has essentially backed his character into a corner which has inevitable, nipple suit-esque days ahead.

You’d think he’d have learned from the first batman go-around on the big screen. But nope.

  27. Gravatar

Oh my… Heath Ledger left me without words, LITERALLY. This is TOO fucking much. His performance is from out of this world.

  28. Gravatar

“His performance is from out of this world.”

    It is now. lol

  29. Gravatar

    @ JBB

There are a lot of people pretty much saying that it has the potential to be ‘the greatest movie ever’ based on what we have seen (like these vids, etc.) There aren’t too many people saying that it is the best movie ever in the present tense ’cause obviously nobody here has seen it yet. I can see where you’re coming from between DC and Marvel but they are different and it’s not necessarily a bad thing imo. I personally like that I can see an Iron Man and then turn around and see a Dark Knight….

  30. Gravatar

    Took waaaay too long.

  31. Gravatar

    Chimaera,

Your logic has no power here. Alcohol fetal syndrome is the direct cause of most thread-shitting.

  32. Gravatar

    Oh and the clown vid:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP57SrWCJj4

  33. Gravatar

    Pat,

Thanks a lot for posting the YT version. For those that don’t notice the HQ tab. You can also add “&fmt=18″ at the end of that YT link and it puts the video in higher quality.

Those Imax shots look beauitful. I love Nolan’s cinematography and film style. This film is going to look amazing on an Imax screen.

  34. Gravatar

‘“His performance is from out of this world.”

    It is now. lol”

jerry, you’re a pedophile. say what you want about a movie you have yet to see, but taking such a cheap shot at ledger is the stuff of cowards.

  35. Gravatar

That picture of Joker laughing is cryptic as hell and looks wicked! Man this film is gonna top all this year.
TDK, (IMO) will beat Indy and Shell head.

    Kick ass!

  36. Gravatar

Some of you have mentioned the blue video bit of the joker at the end of some of the trailers. From what i can tell it looks like CCTV footage, either of the joker breaking out of jail or robbing a bank. But, we’ll have to wait and see, but that’s my educated guess.

I can’t wait for this film though, i even managed to persuade the girlfriend to come and she HATES stuff like this.

  37. Gravatar

    @ Cappy

I must apologize to the world. I really did try to stop drinking before I had him….

  38. Gravatar

    @ Jerry’s mom

lol! i’m glad you at least have some manners.

the second batman speaks to him in the int. cell, everything from then on was giving me chills as far as ledger’s performance…

    can’t wait!!!

  39. Gravatar

Jerry´s Mom needs to grow up. Stop watching Iron Man movies for starting. That movie was for kids, seriously. At least for someone who is in her 27s, like me.

  40. Gravatar

So genius, i must say it again……………

omg, attacking me with “yo momma” jokes. Way to strengthen your positions…

I make a clear point, voicing my opinion, attacking no one.

I get the /film flame posse in full on martin Lawrence mode in return. Great.

Not really boding well for the mental stability and maturity of the typ DK fan here………..

clearly, what Iron has established for Marvel outshines anything predictably expected in DK. I’m sorry if that hurts some peoples lopsided views of the world, but the fact that most have resorted to lame games and flaming for a rebuttal, shows that……well………….you pretty much accept that fact.

Well, i ask…… what do yuo all consider the strengths of the BM franchise?

  41. Gravatar

Intreasting little trivia: The maskt he joker wears is styled from the same mask the Joker wore in the 1966 Batman Tv series episode “Joker is Wild.” You can look it up on youku.com for the whole episode. It’s funny but you think a Batman film that they are trying to take very seriously they still include a small part of the campy past.

If you watch the first video. the is a part with the joker standing there saying something but no words come out of his mouth. I ve been on youtube and some people are saying the Joker says “fuck.” If that is true it will be the first time for a MAJOR comic book character to say such things but then again it could just be an outtake or i can’t read lips.

Yeah, Jerry is a really big Marvel fan so for some one to trash talk Batman like that is really fucking lame.

  42. Gravatar

    hey jerry………

    WHY SO SERIOUS?

  43. Gravatar

does the joker mouth “fucker” at one point lol

if you watch his mouth, it looks like f**ker lol

  44. Gravatar

where on comcast are the videos

  45. Gravatar

“Jerry I can’t believe he’s not Butler” you are an idiot
there is absolutely no reason to merge characters from different comics together. they have completely different stories, histories, motives, and enemies. merging them together would be a cheap marketing ploy to make more money, and it wouldn’t enhance the story line, but i have a feeling you don’t know anything about making a good story.
i hope you go see TDK and choke on popcorn and then Heath Ledger beats your ass for the “out of this world” comment

  47. Gravatar

and by the way a world where someone can transform into a giant green monster and back again is not the same world as one where a guy can build a flying suit

  48. Gravatar

    @ dento08

    lol

It’s all fun and games until somebody’s momma gets thrown in…sigh.

    @ Jerry

The strengths of the DK franchise…seriously? IMO it’s that it isn’t IM. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Iron Man but the fact that DK is so different but still a comic is awesome. I think that even though IM is more in our world DK brings the darker side of life to the table. It’s a more complex and well-told story. IM while awesome was just really entertaining and lacks the substance of the DK franchise.

  49. Gravatar

    @ Jerry

So “in my opinion” what it seems to me is that you would rather have a faggoty adam west batman prancing around just so you can merge characters together? nolan has gone above and beyond to make the Batman fan happy. Which i think is more than what most directors do *cough* Raimi *cough* It would be hard to have DC crossovers because they have really only focused on batman and superman (the only two character that could only be crossed over like that). So why the hell would there be characters thrown into crossovers that have not had movies yet? Batman and Superman? Why not some Green Lantern or the Martian Manhunter? The red tornado? Hell lets throw in the WONDER TWINS! So my point is that DC crossovers would much be more difficult than Marvels because DC’s characters are a little more interesting(Minus the wonder twins they’re just gay) and different. It could be done though but it would just very difficult to do just as an Avengers movie would be hard to do. So jerry don’t assume there will be nipple costumes in nolan’s batmans and don’t assume there won’t be batman 3 and don’t assume that crossovers are impossible. watch the movie first.

oh and i love adam west batman, but it was a little “faggoty”

  50. Gravatar

I’d argue that there is no substance. I enjoyed watching BB, but there is no more real cinematic death there, than say, Burton’s Batman. I mean really, think about. Yet, if you ask others to name a top list of comic films one instantly jumps to the top of the list for it’s dark story arc and complexity, while the other is oft than not, completely left off.

    Why?

Because one is hip. Bad thing with that? Hip implies bandwagon hoppers. And that is precisely what this franchise has created. People speak of what a cinemtic break through Nolan’s take on super heroes on the big screen has been. Like I stated above, seems that he is going down the same inevitable route as, not just the previous Bat films, but all earlier comic movies.

You encapsulate the character right out the gate, there’s nothing left for him to do after 3 or 4 movies than to lamely throw every nuclear weapon into the sun or have an all inclusive 2 hr coming out party with lil robin at his side.

Comics are based on allegiances. Super heroes within respective company banners often get together. That’s what comic writers do when stories start to get repetitive. And now on the big screen, IM already setup that fail safe for the future. We know that the Avengers and the Hulk do exist in his universe. Along with all of their enemies and side stories.

With BM, there’s nothing but BM. Writers will get desperate once they run out of big name stars to cameo as villians. Anyone know what Danny Devito is doing these days? Didn’t think so.

With BM it’s all in the moment hype. It was the same with Superman Returns. Came and went. No anticipation for further stories we all know and love, because there are none. Only real addition they could write in to the BM franchise would be the addition of Robin, but most fans rightly count that as a bad idea. Because we’ve all seen where that goes.

And that’s my point. BM, for a night out and be entertained for a couple hours, is fine. But there is nothing groundbreakingly amazing going on there. It’s all fanboy hype til the next big thing comes along.

  51. Gravatar

Danny Devito, is in the halarious show,
    “Its Allways Sunny in Philedelphia.”

    Everyone should watch it!

  52. Gravatar

    Jerry,

There’s nothing but Batman because he’s always been that way. You seem to keep latching onto this redicously “buddy, buddy” design that doesn’t make any sense. He’s always been a loner for the most part. Even when he’s in the JLA. The guy sits “outside” of the group and watches in. That how he is and that’s how writers have written him and it suits him. The guy is the greatest calculator. It’s why I like the character over just about every other one in existance.

He’s not a character to be placed with others most of the time. You have this weak argument covered in this “fanboy” shell you keep bringing up. You keep calling everyone here a fanboy and it’s painfully obvious you’re a Marvel one from the sounds of it.

You’re still repeating the same bullshit from last light. Also, where did you hear that they “don’t” want to make a third batman film?

  53. Gravatar

    790 with the “swish” again.

  54. Gravatar

    WOW! WOW! WOW!

  55. Gravatar

are joker masks going to be the big thing next Halloween?

  56. Gravatar

strange how people have posted WHY batman is better while jerry hasn’t given any argument to WHY iron man is better. just that there needs to be other super heroes incorporated which is bullshit.

and guess what, iron does exactly what you say batman does wrong.
movie 1: man becomes the hero, there is a bad guy and in the end (obvious but spoiler alert anyways) he defeats him.
movie 2:iron man encounters a new bad guy and in the end defeats him/her
movie 3: iron man encounters a new bad guy and in the end defeats him/her

so don’t try any of the iron man is breaking the mold bullshit

  57. Gravatar

Yeah. I’m with Brian on this.

I mean seriously, why the hell does there need to be other superheroes incorporated? That isn’t automatically going to enhance the film’s quality, just by weaving a storyline through another.

  58. Gravatar

Check it out…. Batman Begins in Blu-Ray in July. Also, it includes the first six minutes of The Dark Knight and $7.50 in “movie cash” towards a ticket for The Dark Knight

    Sweet!

  59. Gravatar

    Dark Knight is gonna rock…..

I’m hoping the internet connection in Jerry the Butler’s parent’s basement is disconnected soon. This “winner” in life is really annoying….

    “Ma the Meatloaf!”

  60. Gravatar

This Jerry bashing is starting to really piss me off!

  61. Gravatar

Can I get a link to these videos where it is easier to play them.

    It would be great

    Dave

  62. Gravatar

What is all this crap that DC is going down.

This film will make a lot of money, which should open up opportunities for more DC stuff to be made into movies, right?

“His performance is from out of this world.

    It is now. lol”

Wow, what are you like five years old, that is not funny in any way and we all know you put that just b/c it is that time of the month for you.

This film will be great, and hopefully lives up to the hype. Ledger’s performance will be awesome and without question one of the best performances in any comic book movie ever(will probably be my fav.). Too bad Christian Bale’s performance will probably be overlooked.

  63. Gravatar

Let’s face it. Both IM and TDK are comic book movies. They can only be as good as the source material. Both comics are strong to be standalone titles. BB did something great, character development. Ang Lee’s “The Hulk” tried that previously, and failed. As you guys can see both Marvel and DC have done some f’ed up movies (Howard the Duck anyone?) Nolan’s cinematography is amazing, Memento left one speechless, Dark Kinght revitalized a franchise that was nearly killed off by Schumaker. I for one am looking forward to TDK and I have seen IM twice in theaters.

  64. Gravatar

you pimp bustard miniyac scountler i fuck you
